India still relies heavily on imports of its starting materials and policy is in full swing to change this. Building the order book with domestic API manufacturers is possible even if two or three intermediates are produced well in a unit. The BHAVYA-Rasayan scheme provides ₹3,000 crore for common infrastructure and basic utilities within three dedicated chemical parks. The Centre will provide up to ₹1,000 crore to each park, with a minimum of ₹500 crore to be contributed by the state.
